Theory Underground is a teaching, research, and publishing platform by and for working class intellectuals, autodidacts, and academics who want to do more than they are able to within the confines of academia. All of the research and courses are directed towards trying to understand the situation with capital today so we can salvage some kind of humanity in the future.
Each of the courses below has courses meant to give you a basis in the conversation. Each general topic and its associated courses has its own forum areas. These forum areas are closed to anyone who has not shown some basic effort to get a shared basis in the subject matter via the courses.

If you seek others who are striving to understand themselves and the world in critical ways through rigorous engagement with the most profound works from the history of ideas, then you will want to get involved with these events.
What you must do to participate in a series: Pay for an individual series, or be a member. Watch the week's lecture, submit answers to weekly prompts about the reading on the forum, and then attend the discussion group. Any additional thoughts or questions to follow up that live discussion, or to add to it if you missed the live discussion, is done on the forum.
